The Era of Lola began with a very simple idea - to provide a platform for the voices that need one, especially in India. Homosexuality in India, although now decriminalised, is still a big taboo, an anathema; and despite recent political movements in favour of LGBTQ+ rights, there remains a significant amount of homophobia existent within the Indian population, society and culture.
The focus of this e-magazine is to provide a safe space for people of any and all sexual orientations to express themselves freely and find a platform for their art and expression.
